Bioregional Herbalism

     Join Clinical Herbalist Calyx Liddick for this introduction to place based herbalism. We will explore the benefits of bioregional herbalism, issues of ethics around herbal commerce, sustainable wildcrafting practices, introduction to plant ID and foraging safety, and herbal folk medicine.

     The first half of the workshop will be lecture format. After lunch we will make a simple water extraction and then we will go on a short plant walk.

​

     This class is appropriate for beginners or more experienced herbalists wanting to expand their knowledge of local plant allies and bioregional practice.

​

     To learn the practical applications of medicine making, check out our Medicine Making workshop being offered the following day.
